East and Southeast Asia Impact Investing Forum 2013
March 14, 2013
8:30am - 5:30pm
The Jockey Club Tower
The University of Hong Kong
Pokfulam, Hong Kong
The Rockefeller Foundation and Asia Community Ventures will co-convene a forum on impact investing in Hong Kong on March 14, 2013. This forum seeks to pave the way forward to unlocking impact investment capital in Asia, as one of four such meetings globally across the 'Global South'; the other meeting locations are Sao Paolo (Brazil), Bangalore (India), and Cape Town (South Africa).
Our forum, which is hosted at the University of Hong Kong, will convene leaders in the fields of impact investing and social entrepreneurship from an array of stakeholder groups. Our goal is to bring together policy makers, investors, philanthropic funders, educators, students, and other active participants in the field who can positively pave the way forward for impact investing in Asia. We are excited to present practitioners and thought leaders in the space including Wayne Silby, Jed Emerson, Annie Chen and Rosemary Addis to name a few among over twenty distinguished panelists and speakers at the forum. Asian countries represented include: China, India, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. We hope to count you among them.
At the end of the forum, The Rockefeller Foundation will announce the launch of the Impact Economy Innovations Fund (IEIF), a challenge grant fund with the goal of catalyzing collective action and regional market development in East and Southeast Asia.
Please note there is no registration fee to attend this event. We look forward to welcoming you on March 14, 2013.
